FUNERAL COSTS

The costs of a funeral can vary quite considerably depending on whether the funeral is to be a cremation or a burial, which coffin is to be used, how many limousines are required and which flowers are chosen.

At James McEwan & Son, we would be happy to discuss all costs involved including burial costs, purchase of ground, interment fee, cremation costs and crematorium fee.

As of September 2021 all funeral directors are legally required to publish a standardised price list for a standardised set of products and services. This is to help you think through your options, make choices, and to let you compare prices between different funeral directors. (Because prices can vary)

PAYMENT METHODS

Once the funeral arrangements have been completed, we’ll issue a full written estimate itemising our costs and the things we’ll be paying on your behalf such as crematorium and newspaper fees.

We’ll issue an invoice after the funeral and the payment will be due within 30 days. Payments by cash, cheque, debit or credit card and bank transfer are all accepted. Please see our terms of business for full details.
